Yes, but I think it should be case-by-case to assess their mental state. I don't give a crap what they do in their personal lives, but if you're bringing your identity issues onto the front lines, you're a liability for the same reason that anyone who doesn't make the physical fitness grade is a liability. He didn't kick out gay people because they're just gay and they're not talking about it and not insisting on pronouns and not disrupting efficiency on the battlefield. If you are, you're out because that gets people killed. If you're trans and have the ability to set it aside and focus on the job at hand without bringing down the morale of your unit with pointless arguments, then you can stay, too. It was never about their sexuality. It was about their mental state.
