August A good warm and dry month, especially for the South Odd more unsettled spell but overall warm and dry, including further North at times Some more widespread warm/hot dry weather poss around 10/15th onwards through mid month period to later on, with MJO forcing 🔥

There has been lots of pesky horse flies (clegs) around recently But it was amazing to sit here surrounded by dragonflies that kept those pesky clegs at bay! I didn’t get bit once by anything! We need more ponds and more dragonflies! #LakeDistrict
