What Separates Professionals Traders from Retail Traders?
Most retail traders don't understand or have discipline when it comes to trading.
As a trader you have to understand that some weeks you’re green or winning, while next week you give it back or in a loss. It's definitely not strange but understanding and accepting your results when it comes to trading is really important when it comes to your psychology in the market why because it's easy to mess up your psychology as a retail trader when you do some certain things while trading just because you want to win big or you're in a loss and you want to revenge trade or lack of good journaling.
What makes professional traders different
Being a professional makes you understand some certain things when it comes to trading, because you have to understand that trading doesn't have to be difficult.
Why?
A professional trader doesn't have to trader every strategy, because you've learnt and studied what works for you and what doesn't.
For example, Losing a trade doesn't mean you're not good enough (rather understand your strategy and how to apply discipline) also understanding and accepting such loss is very important when it comes to trading and that's where retail traders gets it wrong.
A professional trader focus on a strategy and how to secure his capital, because regardless of your win or loss you need to learn how to secure your capital in other not to blow your whole account up.
A professional trader wait for his setup and doesn't need to force trades, like some retail traders who gets anxious from just looking at their chart without trusting their trade setup.
There are different type of traders and you need to understand where you fit in and also learn certain basics to upgrade your trading skills such as 👇
