Playoff seeding for the league will be set < 48 hours before the playoffs start. They’re lucky the East wrapped up a couple of days early because this could’ve been a disaster.

@mhc_76 The NHL also should have announced a schedule themself then. The Flyers matchup was set on Monday and we have to wait until Thursday night or Friday morning for a schedule? Ridiculous, sorry you got beat to it.

Respectfully, the Sixers play-in game had to be moved back a day which will completely screw them over if they lose tonight, the Flyers will live having to play a 1 PM Sunday playoff game

@destiny_lugardo They pretty much won’t have a tiebreaker against any team, so they just need enough points to be 3rd in the metro or the 2nd wild spot without being tied

Has anyone figured out the Flyers playoff scenarios? Should I look into this or is it too complicated?

Which cities have it best right now? I think of Boston and Denver even though both their baseball teams suck right now, although Rockies just took 2/3 in Toronto, they are not expected to be good, and Red Sox off to a horrible start, but still very early. x.com/NHL_Watcher/st…

@Aella_Girl It’s hard to say what the difference might be without examples, but critiquing things she did seems more valid to me than insulting her intelligence. I don’t really feel that strongly about it tbh, but I understand why it’s off putting to some. I’m sorry for your loss.

I loved my mom but she was kinda dumb. Going through her stuff after she died, I never found anything reflective in her writing. It was all very factual and simple. The notes from her mom though, man. Brilliant tortured poet. Introspective metaphors, poems, in multiple languages.

@Aella_Girl It comes off as antisocial behavior to be giving a criticism of a deceased relative tbh. Even if true, most would find it off putting if you said you were looking at pictures of her and said you loved your mom but boy was was she ugly.

I'm surprised ppl seem so offended by this. People aren't worthless just cause they have low IQ. My mom had a lot of great qualities and I loved her very much. It's just an interesting fact about things.

I get that you don't like the format but your complaint is ridiculous. The division winner *should* be rewarded - and is rewarded in most other sport playoffs. See: 8-9 Panthers hosting 12-5 Rams in 2026 NFL playoffs. Not only that but in previous 1-8 NHL format this happened routinely. 2012: (3) FLA 94 pts hosts (6!) NJD 102 pts 2008: (3) WSH 96 pts had same # pts as 6th, 7th and 8th seeds 2010 and 2011: 4th seed had more pts than 3rd seed. Best I can find, 2009 was the only year in that salary cap era playoff format (2005-2013) that seeds 1-8 and division winners were perfectly ordered by points. That was the lone exception.

Something not being talked about enough. Increasingly likely the Utah Mammoth finish fourth in the division, crossover to play a **Pacific Division winner** who finished BEHIND them in the standings. On the road. Fix this ridiculous format.

I don't really have a reaction to Chase getting put on the Phillies Wall of Fame because to me it's just like "well, yeah, of course". Like if we're being real we should have a "The Chase Utley Honorary 2nd Base at Citizens Bank Park".

You know what I love about the Flyers. Every time I’m watching them when they pan up to the press box to show Jonesy and Brière they are laughing, enjoying themselves, and staying positive about what they’re trying to accomplish with this team. They WANT to be Flyers. This ain’t going to change overnight. Look at Buffalo and Detroit. You need positive people who love their job and their team. Go Flyers Go.

@destiny_lugardo I’m not really giving any opinion here just noting an observation, but I feel it shows how much batting average is less valued now. Turner won the batting title and I’m not sure how many even Phillies fans know or remember that fact.
