@mdvirgilio As much as I agree with the sentiment, this is a complex multivariate issue that cannot be simply addressed by a behavioral shift. People have their reasons for not having more children, among them right now being infertility, finances, lack of familial support etc.

It bums me out how many families have only two kids. It’s a pandemic! Do they really only believe they can only handle two? What’s up with that? I know the answer; it's a rhetorical question. I think it’s bordering on sin for a couple to limit themselves to having two children, for whatever reason. At best it’s a cliché. We’ve attended a goodly number of churches over the decades, and since I’ve become a full-on natalist it distresses me how many families have two children. I’m not saying all Christian families have to go old school and have ten kids like our ancestors, but as I told a young friend of mine recently and my daughter as well, you will never, ever regret having more children. You get to bring more image bearers of God into the world, and into eternity, to love and nurture and raise. So, young Christian couples, be fruitful and multiply! It’s not a suggestion.

@pureMetatron @paleochristcon The question is, where do you draw the line? LDS subscribes to a very different definition of what "god" means. Basically a flesh and blood creature that lives and has dominion over but does not "cause" the universe. Does it count if they believe Jesus is "god"?

Since I publicly said I’m going to raise my child Christian, people have been leaving comments that look like this. Make sure he is protestant, Catholics aren’t Christians. Make sure he is Catholic, only Catholics are Christians. And every other flavor. I’m gonna say it bluntly. If you believe Jesus is God and you believe He was resurrected, you’re a Christian. I don’t care which version. Still fits the definition. The doctrinal differences on everything else could make you right or wrong on doctrine, but you are still a Christian no matter if Orthodox, Catholic and ALL the rest. The idea of denominational exclusivity whereby ONLY your single version makes you a Christian is SATANIC and of the Devil. He wants to push people away from considering themselves Christians. The Lord wants us all to come to Him. I’m NOT willing to change my mind on this view.

@DChadwickAuthor Many things in Catholic teaching are counterintuitive like baptism and salvation. Yes the "mark" of original sin is bad but that doesn't mean your child emanates evil. Chastity is just a difficult concept to grasp. It actually encourages sex within the proper context (marriage).

So we have two people who identify as Catholics. One says babies are born as evil demons, and the other says that even in marriage, sex is gross… Have I completely misunderstood Catholicism my entire life? What is happening here?

@xevekiah Three things. 1) Abortion has very serious, lifelong, traumatic effects on most women. 2) Many abortions are due to societal and familial coercion. It's not a choice but a plea for survival. 3) Women should never be publicly ostracized or punished for abortion.

@shadmbrooks That being said, no one should blind themselves to the merits of other religions. Though truth in those other contexts may be more limited, there are likely valuable truth and traditions. God reveals himself in many different ways which should never be dismissed out of hand.

@shadmbrooks When people have truth to the greatest extent possible, they can also be the most free and deliberate as they live their lives. It is also true that God calls us all to relationship with him. In relationship with him is where we can most thrive.

Believing in FALSE RELIGIONS or false doctrines that still lead you to do good IS NOT A SIN! Any belief that says different (that you deserve to suffer eternally for wrong but sincere benevolent held beliefs) IS OF THE DEVIL AND AN ABOMINATION!

Evangelicals, incapable of understanding big words, invariably default to the anti-Catholic accusation “it’s WORD GAMES!” It’s both an admission that they’re uneducated and a pathetically lazy cop-out.

@celestialovebot @ZELLKLUMPEN By having the wrong experiences with the Pro-Life movement. Her story highlights a failing wherein volunteers can react out of fear and become myopically focused on preventing a crisis rather than seeing a hurting woman.

God enforces his will all the time upon the unwilling. His unseen presence conducts His will on this earth every day without our consent, and that's for our benefit. Don't get me wrong, we of course still have free will, and I believe the personal calling that God's will has for someone's life can be rejected by that said person, Mary was seen as righteous among women. God chose her before time began specifically because He knew Mary would be overjoyed to birth the Savior of the world. That's exactly part of what made her righteous: That she knew childbirth was a blessing.

@Colinsmodwho @farmingandJesus Are those things his "will" or the consequence of nature? There is, of course, a relationship between those laws of the universe that are "willed" into being and those laws being impressed upon us but I might not call those effects his "will" per se. Otherwise, God "wills" evil.

@nocontextmemes As it turns out, the collective of American men actually want women to live their fullest lives. If women tell men that they want individuality, independence, and typically masculine responsibilities, men give them those things. This is what the feminists wanted. Passive men.

@nocontextmemes Feminists have done everything possible to demonize men being masculine, approaching women, dating early and seriously, appreciating female bodies, and getting married. Many thought it was the patriarchy that was forcing these things on women.

@ToServeMan665 @CostelloWilliam I don't know how you arrived at the idea that I want to "out-feminist feminism". I am suggesting people turn away from the feminized "empathy culture" towards one where equality of opportunity is maximized, marriage is incentivized, and people are able to strive upward.

@Metaphysic00_ @CostelloWilliam You're going to out-feminist feminism? What's going to happen culture wide when unconstitutional privileges for females are revoked and instinctive female advantages (in a peace loving culture) -- e.g pulling power etc -- are curtailed?

@ToServeMan665 @CostelloWilliam Not by becoming the monsters the feminists said that men were. Policy wise, ending no-fault divorce, and clamping down on the drug problem through border closure are a start. Problems are solved when individuals put away their self-victimization and help themselves.
