On Wednesday, March 18, the Methacton community was treated to an extraordinary musical experience: the Methacton Jamboree. The concert brought together more than 200 orchestra students, spanning grades 4 through 12, showcasing talent, growth and dedication at every level. Whether performing in their first Jamboree or their last, every student played a vital role in the night’s success. There is something truly special about seeing our youngest and most experienced musicians share the stage and passion for music. A massive THANK YOU to our dedicated Orchestra Directors— Sue Basalik, Jennifer DeSanto, Mackenzie McGinnis, and Steph Shuey— for their leadership and for making this impactful orchestra program possible. On March 12th, the Arcola Connection Club welcomed Home At Last Dog Rescue for a very special check presentation. The students raised $400 for the organization through their "Candygrams for Canines" Valentine’s Day campaign, selling paper hearts during lunches to be delivered to friends and teachers along with a treat. This generous donation will help local dogs find their forever homes. We love seeing our students come together to support such a meaningful cause. Congratulations to the Arcola Connection Club! We are so proud of your fundraising success and your dedication to making a difference in our community.

Yesterday, Skyview Upper Elementary hosted an incredible annual Career Day! The morning kicked off with a powerful keynote from Methacton alumna Harleen Suri, a software engineer at Liquid Robotics. Harleen shared her fascinating work on the world’s first wave and solar-powered uncrewed ocean robots, inspiring our students to keep asking questions and seeking solutions—just as great engineers do. Following the keynote, the school filled with excitement as students met with over 40 professional presenters from a vast range of industries. From business and engineering to healthcare and law enforcement, our students had the unique opportunity to ask questions and connect their daily classroom lessons to real-world career paths. It was a day of discovery that opened up a world of possibilities for our Skyview students. We want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to our wonderful presenters for sharing their expertise, and to our dedicated staff and volunteers for making this day so impactful. You are helping shape the innovators of tomorrow! See more photos here: skyview.methacton.org/p/~board/skyvi…

On March 13 and 14, Shannondell hosted the highly anticipated 2026 Methacton Emerging Artists Exhibition. This event provided a captivating look into the artistic journeys of Methacton High School’s AP art students. The program opened in the theater, where students shared the inspirations behind their visions, discussed their preferred materials and styles, and presented a video reflecting on their experiences within the program. Following the presentation, residents and families had the opportunity to view the students' artwork in person, accompanied by live classical performances from the Methacton High School orchestra. A sincere thank you is extended to the talented students, as well as to AP Art Teacher Jaclyn Mann, Art Department Coordinator Caitlin Ferenchak, and Orchestra Director Jennifer DeSanto, for their dedication to this showcase. Last but not least, we would like to thank the Shannondell Residential Focus on Methacton Schools group for supporting this wonderful opportunity for our students.
