Heptonstall Methodist Heritage Chapel
Come and hear the newly restored organ in Heptonstall Octagonal Chapel played to it's very best by two expert organists. The Friends Group are delighted to present Professor David Baker and Chris O'Gorman who will play a VERY mixed programme.

Yesterday @NewRoomBristol shared that they would be singing a song from Ride! Ride! at their Singing and Stories Workshop, resulting in many exclamations of 'There was a John Wesley musical?!' The musical opened in London on Wesley Day in 1976. Were you there? What was it like?

Apparently John Wesley: The Musical is a thing…🏇 Not sure if it's been performed since the 70s, but now you can sing a song from it yourself! (tomorrow 11:30am) And yes, we had to urgently change our Singing and Stories Workshop programme after this discovery.

John ‘the importance of ideas & information’
Visited @MethodistHerit in Englesea Brook near Crewe yesterday & saw this poster. A useful reminder to us all really about the absolute necessity for & power of dissent. Great museum. Very informative. Illustrates link between Methodism & the Labour movement. Great cake too!

Hello @MethodistHerit, I'm looking for information about a 'Wesleyan Centenary Exhibition' at the Allen Library (probably 1839) - if anybody has any further info about this, please do let me know! Thanks! :)

We’re also sharing a selection of stories from #MyJusticeJourney, where people shared artefacts that represented their journey with justice issues as part of the #WalkingWithMicah project. The volunteers on the stand are picking their favourite stories each day. #MethodistConf

People have shared justice issues related to disability, food poverty, slavery, racism, war, marriage, housing, sex work, prisons, the environment, and even chocolate! All have been moving, challenging, and equally important. So we thank you for sharing your #MyJusticeJourney /2

As #MyJusticeJourney draws to a close, it’s been an incredible week: stories of changes in daily lives to changes in law; personal moments and institutional change; stories of well known figures and others we’ve never heard of. Many told stories of injustice as well as justice 1/
