Sepsis is evolving! We’ve moved past the “one-size-fits-all” approach. Not every patient needs 30 cc/kg. Not every patient is fluid responsive. And even if they are fluid responsive, early pressors should still be considered instead of reflexively ordering more fluids.

Hearing patients tell their stories, seeing caregivers, industry, and healthcare teams stand shoulder to shoulder — all fighting the same rare battle — puts everything back into perspective. We came together for Walk4PICS, walking side by side with our patients from the Critical Care Recovery Clinic. This walk is dedicated to raising awareness of Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) and supporting the journey of ICU survivors 💪🏼. @HMethodistMD @Methodistpccm
