We congratulate @MBMetis_MMF on signing their historic treaty with Canada. This significant step carves a path for other Métis governments, including MNBC, towards self-government and raises up all Métis across the homeland as we work on Section 35 rights assertions.

MNBC withdraws from the Métis National Council (MNC) effective immediately. The decision comes after failed attempts by MNBC to address the inequities of MNC’s governance structure with the remaining Métis govts opting to maintain status quo. News release: mnbc.ca/mnbc-withdraws…

MNBC worked closely with John Horgan, in his position as leader of the B.C. NDP, to strengthen our partnership with the Province on behalf of Métis people. We are proud of the work we accomplished together and are sad to hear of his passing.
BC NDP@bcndp

Today, British Columbia lost a remarkable leader, and we in the BC NDP lost a dear friend and mentor. John Horgan dedicated his life to public service, to the people of British Columbia, and to the principles of fairness, compassion, and integrity.

On #IndigenousVeteransDay, we honour the resilience, courage, and dedication of Indigenous veterans who defended our nation and freedoms. Their legacy of service and sacrifice, although historically overlooked, continues to inspire us all. Today we remember.

MNBC CEO Colette Trudeau addressed the Standing Senate Cmte on Social Affairs, Science & Technology about Bill C-64. "While it can address healthcare disparities, it also demands careful attention to Indigenous self-determination, data sovereignty, and provincial cooperation."

We stood together to honor those who did not make it home and recognize those who continue to struggle with these difficult memories. They still need our support. Our communities are resilient and will continue to come together to hold each other up.

Today, on #TruthAndReconciliationDay, we reflect on the pain endured by Métis, First Nations, and Inuit peoples. Residential schools stole children from their families and culture. We honour survivors and commit to genuine efforts for healing, truth, justice, and renewal. #NDTR
