We congratulate @MBMetis_MMF on signing their historic treaty with Canada. This significant step carves a path for other Métis governments, including MNBC, towards self-government and raises up all Métis across the homeland as we work on Section 35 rights assertions.

On November 16, we celebrate #LouisRielDay, honoring the visionary who shaped the Métis Nation. Riel’s courage and commitment to defending Métis rights inspire us still. Let’s carry his dream forward.

MNBC worked closely with John Horgan, in his position as leader of the B.C. NDP, to strengthen our partnership with the Province on behalf of Métis people. We are proud of the work we accomplished together and are sad to hear of his passing.

We are also proud to congratulate Métis Citizen Master Corporal Sheri-Lea Gee, 4th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, Valemount, BC who was selected to participate in this year’s Remembrance Day Sentry Program. She will have an important role in Ottawa today as Eagle Staff Carrier.

On #IndigenousVeteransDay, we honour the resilience, courage, and dedication of Indigenous veterans who defended our nation and freedoms. Their legacy of service and sacrifice, although historically overlooked, continues to inspire us all. Today we remember.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Murray Sinclair’s passing. He was a champion for Indigenous rights throughout his career in law and public service and encouraged all Canadians to listen and learn from the TRC report.

Congratulations to the Métis Community Society of Kelly Lake and the Kelly Lake Métis Settlement Society, who voted to unite as the Kelly Lake Métis Settlement Society. The decision to collaborate is a win for Métis across the province. We are stronger together!

3. Ensure the committee of experts convened to make recommendations for the operation of single payer pharmacare include a dedicated seat for a FN representative, a Métis representative, and an Inuit representative, all 3 Indigenous people as defined in the Canadian Constitution.
