Frank Edoho admitted it was humiliating to confront Chike… but he still did it for his kids. He was fighting to keep the family together. She chose the side dick over her own children. Some women are built different. 😔

@PeterObi @TENIBEGILOJU202 Ogah! Nigeria is not anambra that doesn’t need infrastructure but hero beer, we must borrow to build our infrastructure and basic amenity as long as we can pay back or you want Nigeria to remain stagnant

When Borrowing is Leprosy and cancerous. Mr. President, borrowing is not only a leprosy, but a killer cancer when it is borrowed for consumption and not production as it is in Nigeria today. Borrowing for consumption slowly eats away at the health, reputation, and autonomy of a nation. One of the major “leprosy” afflicting Nigeria today is not just debt, but debt without productivity. Debt that is not tied to measurable economic value. Debt that does not translate into jobs, growth, or improved living standards for the Nigerian people. No serious economy borrows recklessly. Nations borrow with discipline, with purpose, and with a clear plan for repayment through productive investment. Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007 provides that “Any government in the Federation or its agencies and corporations desirous of borrowing shall, specify the purpose for which the borrowing is intended and present a cost-benefit analysis, detailing the economic and social benefits of the purpose to which the intended borrowing is to be applied” Cost-benefit analysis must show how the loan would be applied, how it will impact economic growth and improve the welfare of Nigerian citizens in measurable ways. Most of the borrowings by this government do not satisfy the requirements of law or the requirements of economic common sense. The humongous borrowing so far does not show how the projects for the loans enhance the productive capacity of the nation and the welfare of Nigerian citizens. These loans are also dangerous because they burden the capacity of the Nigerian state to improve the economy in the future, as we have one of the world’s highest debt servicing ratios. What matters is not debt-GDP as much as debt-debt servicing ratio because the latter constrains our capacity to finance the sectors that drive human development and economic growth. If the money is wrongly spent as we do in Nigeria currently, it becomes double jeopardy because you are using current revenue to service debts that did not add to revenue or improve capacity for more production in the future. A responsible government does not merely defend borrowing; it explains it, justifies it, and most importantly, ensures it works for the people. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@OneJoblessBoy It’s surprising dat none of the ADC figures owns an event centre in Abuja, yet many hold multiple assets abroad. Dis suggests a pattern of extracting wealth from Nigeria while investing elsewhere, reinforcing the view dat most are driven more by personal gain than public service.

Tinubu hates plateau people. If not, tell me why he allows all this to be happening. Will he allow such to happen to Lagos??, the answer is "no". He doesn't care as long as is not Lagos. Let unite and send him back to Lagos

@OfficialFBMA I absolutely disagree with this nonsense. That’s why most that agree are divorced before the 7 year mark. If you want to be crestfallen, what is the point of marriage? I could never treat my husband disrespectfully and callously. Be kind. You may be incapacitated & in his care.

We women live a terrifying double life. A mother will look at her teenage son with absolute, boundless empathy. She will hold him when he cries, tell him his feelings matter, and pray to God that he finds a woman who loves him for his pure heart, not his wallet. But that exact same woman will turn around and look at her husband, who is literally someone else’s grown son and treat him like a malfunctioning piece of farm equipment if he loses his job or shows a moment of emotional fragility. We completely compartmentalize the fact that the men we drain, stress out, and demand traditional protection from were once little boys who were promised that their hearts mattered. Look at the advice mothers pass down. It is pure, unfiltered hypocrisy. We sit our daughters down and say: "Never settle. Make sure he is a provider. If he is struggling financially, do not build him up, leave him. You deserve a King." But if a mother catches wind that her son's girlfriend is treating him that way? If her son loses his job and his girlfriend packs her bags? That mother will lose her mind. She will call the girlfriend a gold-digger. She will call her toxic. We are actively raising our daughters to become the exact type of women we pray our sons never meet.

@Traderfestus @Zynat4 Nigeria is not a failed system. It's a system designed to manage the population of the most populous black nation. Basically if you understand what management means you would understand why the politicians avoid Nigerian hospitals.

@Zynat4 A working system is what saved her, honestly, compare it to a failed system like Nigeria where even if you alert the authorities, police will tell you they don't have fuel In their car to search for the person, nor will you get paramedics on the scene.

I remembered earlier this year when a Nigerian student in Winnipeg wanted to commit suicide because things were tough. Her neighbour went to report her food business that she was managing from home and the city told her to shut it down because the house didn’t pass the check and whatever kitchen standard that was needed plus the area code the house is at doesn’t allow business, it’s strictly residential. So she got depressed as that was her only source of income as an international student. She had scheduled her post just like this writer guy. And went to another province to harm herself 🥹. But thank God we have a working system and good people. The message dropped in the midnight and one of the admins of our group, a sweet soul saw the post and alerted us on the group. The suicide department and the police was notified immediately and we started trying to reach people that could know her whereabouts but all efforts was yielding zero results on our end. In about 20 minutes the police reached out, she has been tracked down with just her cell phone number! In another province about 4hours away by flight. The police of the province she’s at was notified and they got to her in no time. And that was how she was rescued. They kept her there overnight and brought her back to winnipeg the next morning. We reached out to the MP and they facilitated the visa request for some of her family members to come over and stay with her for a while. Couple weeks ago she reopened her food business 😊. I hope every suicidal/depressed person would get the necessary help before it’s too late.

How Big Tech Frames African Audiences As Intellectually Lazy. African social media audiences are not “dumb” - they are being conditioned. When Africans have to engage with western controlled information ecosystems, the engagement is never a fair one. Not in traditional media, and certainly not in digital media. It always follows the same colonial playbook of extraction and social engineering over any kind of meaningful conversation or useful solution. The exploitative relationship between Western-controlled tech giants and Africa's social media audiences is often overlooked, but it shapes almost everything we see or value - and even how we understand ourselves. The low-effort, oversexualized content that has become recognised as the preferred taste of African audiences is not in fact an organic phenomenon. To put it bluntly, Western colonial tech monopolies are actively engineering African social media spaces into cesspits of anti-intellectual slop. Africa must rise to resist this intellectual suppression by building information and communication ecosystems by Africans and for Africans.
