The Meyerhoff Scholars Program was started to increase diversity among future leaders in science, technology, engineering and related fields. @UMBC’s Meyerhoff family is now more than 1300 strong, with over 1100 alumni across the nation- many with MDs, PhDs, or Masters degrees.

I’ve shared that the first time I met a black doctor was when I was in college at @UMBC. That’s why I was so proud to attend the 30th anniversary celebration of the Meyerhoff program tonight. A ballroom packed full of minorities with MDs and PhDs. #RepresentationMatters
