this team isn’t good at much of anything. plenty of people including myself said they’d be a .500 team this year. it’s easier to be frustrated at Gore bc the team is worse now and in the future bc of the trade. At least the offense is hurt with Wyatt/Jung healthy very soon

He could easily finish the year with a 5 ERA, lockout miss 3 months of next season, and optimistically he has a 4 ERA next year. I can’t believe this shit.

@DepressedRanger huge domino effect to Corbin getting starts over Latz, incentives led to going over threshold, arguably led to Gore trade with Latz not getting as many IP. + he was ass. them two are number 1 and 2 for me.

@garykellar3 @Evan_P_Grant how would you know what he would or wouldn’t do for one and two he’s already missed 25+% of the games since being with Texas. That’s not someone teams are going to be dying to trade for, especially with a salary cap on the way. he absolutely can and very likely will stay.

Chris Young went into the season with Chris Martin and Robert Garcia in mind for the 8th and 9th inning roles. He got completely lucky with Latz. He’s so bad at his job it’s actually unreal

@Javierflores_88 If they could get a haul for Jung I’m all for it. It really sucks Walcott got hurt, they could have a better idea of what to do with Jung. Latz is already 30 but not a FA until 2031 somehow. That’s an odd combo for a trade.

@nehcil deGrom and other huge $$ players are going to be harder to trade away with a salary cap inbound. Latz yeah. Evo is a rough sell if his last year is a lockout year. ‘27 just makes it hard to sell for this team especially.
