To all the complete idiots who have nothing but bad things to say about Gyokeres look at that performance today. Also worth noting outside of Saliba, Gyokeres has the highest per 90 +/- in Arsenal side.

People keep talking about a mere points deduction for Man City. Imagine for a moment that you’re judging what they did and you came to the conclusion that… 1) They demonstrated a total lack of respect for the rules and instead, a total preparedness to cheat them. 2) Their cheating was on a massive scale that distorted the league’s integrity for years and continues to do so - they have become financially dominant through cheating. 3) They demonstrated a total disregard for the Premier League Board’s authority, undertaking costly law-fare wherever possible to make this a battle of financial attrition. 4) They have, in effect, unlimited resources. 5) The only way this came to light was because they made a mistake and allowed themselves to be hacked. An event unlikely to repeat itself. Then surely the implication is that they are a dangerous, rogue participant that is completely ungovernable and whose presence in the league completely undermines its integrity? Personally, I see very few workable solution to such a problem and none of them are a mere points deduction.

@kennardmatt When you compare to Hinduism, Buddhism, folk religions, sikhism, etc you realize that the monotheisms are very much different denominations of same religion. Its only when you zoom into these 3 religions can you view them as different religions.

The mad thing is Judaism, Christianity and Islam are effectively different denominations of the same religion They all believe Abraham (Ibrahim for Muslims) was first to make convenant with God. Jews believe the convenant passed through his son Isaac and then Jacob. Christians agree. Muslims believe the convenant line passed through his other son Ishmael (Ismail) Christians believe Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah - and part of God (Holy Trinity). Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet but not divine. Jews don’t recognise him as either (I’m an atheist, so don’t believe any of it)

@arsenalbabe_ Partey was crap first year at Arsenal. Half the player Zubi is this season. ubi adjusting to a new league and has perfect bill of health and us top of league and amazing position in remaining two cups. If you need people to explain that then there will never be good enough.

I would not say anything about Zubimendi again until the end of the season. Let everyone believe whatever they want, but if you always need some set of people to explain to everyone what you bring to the team, it is the first sign that you are not good enough.

Play Raya. Have one of Odegaard and Eze. And Timber and Calafiori. Its a different game. Too many missing pieces to deal with City tactics. Missed Raya over top, Eze linking and Calafiori contribution which required Timber defensive duties.

I personally believe Arsenal are in dire need of a difference maker in attack. Either at LW or CF. This is negligence because Arteta and the board have had the chances to land a big player and they’ve not done it. Arsenal need a physical demon like Vinicius Jr. or the likes in order to create something out of nothing. Our attacking personnel is VERY limited.

Arsenal will still win the league. But to park the bus at Wembley like that with 10 men behind the ball is shocking. They have World Class players who are capable of playing higher up the pitch and attacking. Terrible anti football tactics from Arteta today

@nonewthing The problem today was Haavertz did the absolute worst Eze impression and added absolutely nothing in attack. Missed a sitter which kills game. He was far more detrimental to our form today then Gyokeres.

When you are playing a good team, your striker is meant to win balls that brings the rest of your team up the pitch. Fouls, headers, duels, outright ball control—anything that releases pressure and allows the team to play. When you have a Gyokeres against a Liverpool or City like Arsenal have done this season, you don't get anything. He can't beat any one of their defenders for anything. Therefore, they are free to sustain pressure and control possession. Unfortunately, fans think this is mega brain stuff and it is down to tactics.

@DeclanMode Personally I fell in love with Arsenal when they were winning EPL titles. These later Wenger years teams had beauty in them but I would trade any of that in for the steel of this current side however much beauty we have to sacrifice. Figuring out how to win consistently is art.

Premier League’s been exposed in the Champions League. Over-coached, lifeless, living off long throws and corners. Barca might be risky and shaky at the back but they play real football and actually score goals.

All the premier league teams have something in common, they all fold within minutes, PSG scored 3 against Chelsea under 15 minutes, Barcelona have scored 3 against Newcastle under 15 minutes.

@themagic_tophat @scottjwillis The fact of matter is European giants play weaker leagues & consistently the best teams in their domestic leagues. EPL is so deep & competitive that 3 EPL sides in round of 16 are not top 5 sides in EPL. Every other side represented in UcL is a top 5 side in their league.

@themagic_tophat @scottjwillis The reality is this. Madrid, PSG & Barcelona are top 5 sides in world footy. City, Chelsea and Newcastle are not. Only City is a top 10 sides in world footy. Atletico is a top 10 side and Spurs are relegation side. If United or Villa in this tourney results would be different.
