It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.

He is many things but Keir Starmer is not a liar.

Why did Mandelson fail his security vetting? Why did it not stop him becoming Britain’s most powerful diplomat? Why did we only hear about this yesterday? Does our ‘clueless’ (so he claims) Prime Minister know anything about anything? Or is he just a bare-faced liar?

@ronsterd89 The laundry tip is real but what I think honestly is that the sweetest part of this story isn't the laundry tip. It's that he still wants it done her way. Grief lives in the smallest habits and love does too.

After my mother-in-law passed away, I started helping my father-in-law with laundry and other chores. He asks me to add aspirin to the washing machine every time I do the laundry. When I asked him why, he said that's how his wife used to do it. Any idea what aspirin does?

It is mindblowing the PM was not told by officials that Peter Mandelson, his pick for the UK's biggest diplomatic job, had failed security vetting.
