@sheryllnkansas This Auntie went on time just to get parking, but then I did wait in the lobby and attempt to read, because I just can't stand the sawing of violins. The singing portion was pretty terrible too, but I was there for the kiddo. My ears are bleeding though.

Being a good Auntie and attending (suffering through) the 5th grade chorus recital tonight. Already told the fam I'll be waiting outside while the orchestra squawks it's way through several selections first. 😩

@BedazzleCats I’m not sure what my parents would have done but I would have been so mortified to be late I would have been ready to GO when I arrived... I always had horrible nerves before performances/shows.

@MiahSchmiah If I can had even gotten out of the car and hadn't at least unpacked my instrument, my Mom probably would have taken me back home because I was wasn't prepared! Or dragged me in there! Lol

It amazes me how people stroll up AFTER the show starts, kids not ready, instruments still in cases, and zero sense of urgency. I get that parents have to work, but teach your kids to put some hustle in it when you're already late!

@MiahSchmiah Yes, I totally sympathize with work & traffic, but when you arrive late, after the band is already playing, don't just stroll in nonchalantly, at least try to get in place before the next song.

@manamitru It's really painful. I'm sitting in the lobby until intermission, but I can hear the torture of many musical instruments happening every time the doors open.
