Learning Rip Current Safety is an important tip for a safe day at the beach. Watch and share this video developed with our partner organizations to learn more, including what to do if you are ever caught in a rip current. #NationalBeachSafetyWeek

Before heading to the beach, take a moment to know before you go. Check the local weather, surf, and tide conditions—and once you arrive, observe all posted signs and flags. What beach are you guarding or visiting this #NationalBeachSafetyWeek?

Join us this Wednesday, May 20, as we honor and celebrate the life of Firefighter Hans Estrada. A church service will be held at 1200 hours, followed by a graveside service at 1400 hours.

Temperatures will continue to be a bit above average to end the week as they rise into the upper 80s and low 90s across the region. Rain chances for today are still pretty low with chances peaking over inland South Florida at 30-40% where a few scattered showers and storms form.
