Didn’t tank previous years so got 0 high draft picks his 1st 3 years ( Luke Jackson was a bust at #10 in 04, CLE had no 1st rd pick in 05 and the 25th pick in 06 ) no All Star teammate in their prime and no bench support. And he still dragged CLE to the Finals vs the incumbent EC dominant Pistons of the last 5 years while having one of the most dominant games in NBA history. The Carry Job LeGOAT had to do with the Cavs that year is in a different universe and doesn’t even compare to the type of help Wemby had. Now Wemby gets to face a NY franchise that hasn’t made a Finals in 27 years ( even though Knicks are playing tremendous basketball ) who have 0 NBA championship pedigree or multiple HOF talent … while in 07 LeGOAT had to play a dynastic Spurs without his #2 scorer for the Finals vs a team led by an All Time Great PF and HC with multiple HOF role players that had won 3 🏆 in the last 8 years coming into the 2007 Finals LeGOAT had to overcome more than any other player in history to get to the top of the mountain to sit on that throne… it doesn’t even come close…so many players with so many more favorable situations and LeGOAT still got it out the mud to become the Greatest of All Time
