hear me out. And I'm not saying I agree with it... You leave Rice on the bench vs. LH and Boone gets to pick his spot EARLY- like last night- preferably when the opposition CAN'T go to the pen. I'm not FOR it...but I see the logic. He had more AB's than Rosario and Grichuk.

In my years in watching Cardinal baseball, the 3 at bats that you just had to watch, no restroom breaks, were Clark, McGwire and Pujols. Walker is trying to become the 4th. Really early, (I know) but at least for now you can’t miss the at bat.

Yeah awful take by Smoltz here. I have respect for him and usually like what he offers, but there literally no risk in losing that challenge, that was an absolutely awful strike call…and @jwalker0522 did the right thing. Why go 0-1 on a pitch that is clearly a ball! #STLCards

@MichaelBerrySr We'll see how it goes. But I've been trying to tell people for years what scouts have said to me just as long -- compare his production to other players his size at their age. He arrived sooner. Others went to college, figured it out without the big-league spotlight.
