If we can’t import Mexican cattle we will make the next best thing. Char x bred cattle. All your emphasis on grading ain’t all that.

@SickosCommittee Nebraska. Iowa corn feeds more pigs than cattle. Nebraska corn feeds more cattle than pigs. Beef is far superior to pork. And Illinois is a communist state. They dont matter. Therefore Nebraska corn is best.

Thank you to our Greeley, Colo., team members who completed several successful shifts this week. Your effort, dedication and teamwork keep everything moving forward. We’re excited to carry this momentum into next week and keep production rolling in Greeley.

For those who think packer capacity and competition aren't at or near the top of the most important issues in the cattle markets: I hope today's market reaction to the JBS strike causes you to reassess your opinion.

@TradesByDave Us 25-35 year olds make up a large part of consumers right now, were in good economic shape, we got into the job and housing market at the right time post covid. Were health conscious and understand the value that beef offers and make it a staple in our diets. Dont bet agsinst us

I've been trading commodities for 5 decades. My biggest mistake has always been underestimating the resiliency of the American consumer. #Cattle

@mbacowboy Just curious but how many of those cattle on wheat pasture do you think will trade hands or are they already owned by the feedyard?

Today's reversal in feeder cattle may lead to further selling, with May pointing $2-$5 lower in the next few sessions. I still believe May tops its October high, but cattle on wheat pasture are 110% of last year, so a correction in feeder cattle beforehand is plausible.

Looking at advertising for Super Bowl by Supermarkets around the country tells me big retail is still very willing to sell beef well below cost to keep consumers in their stores. Every Holiday is a beef holiday these days!

@jasonlbritt Pretty easy to get beat by inflation hard hedging for the same shitty margin time after time.

Also seems like many analyst are real quick to want to get everyone hedged even though we are sitting below the cop. And I am not against hedging, but just may be better ways of doing it VS straight futures shorts right now. And with all the push to get folks hedged it would be a hated rally no doubt. Just some thoughts here this morning.
