60 years ago, my Great Grandparents organized a rally against segregation. Proud of their legacy.

Four years ago, Colorado was #4 in @CNBC’s Top States for Business. Now, we are #25. State government continues to make things worse in our state. #copolitics #coleg

A reminder for today: there is no real public polling for any of these races. #copolitics

What ever happened to independent polling? All we get now are super PAC polls that have amazing numbers for the candidates they are supporting. #copolitics

It’s truly amazing how many lives Lynn impacted in a deep and meaningful way, including mine. I was so sad to hear about her passing. She was the first reporter that I got to know in Colorado politics. I quickly realized how lucky that was. She was one of a kind. Direct and funny. Opinionated and fair. She showed up to every political event out there - and everyone loved seeing her. She was interested in people and their stories. There’s a big hole in the Colorado political landscape with her gone. #copolitics

What? Colorado’s budget surplus shrunk 90% before H.R. 1 even passed. States like Florida are doing great because people and businesses are going there from states that increased taxes. Thankfully, Colorado voters are smart and will soundly reject your tax hike. #copolitics

@MichaelCLFields Again, no. Every state with a tax code "coupled" to the federal tax code is seeing similar corporate tax revenue losses. It's the big beautiful bill that did this, and corporate America is laughing all the way to the bank while working families can't afford gas. #copolitics

The policies that legislators passed led to less revenue. We’ve become the 6th most regulated state in the country and businesses are leaving or expanding elsewhere. Nothing would accelerate this net migration out of the state more than the tax increase you’re pushing. That’s why there is bipartisan opposition! #copolitics
Chris deGruy Kennedy@cdegruykennedy

@MichaelCLFields Incorrect. Legislators can't "spend" TABOR surplus dollars, and the most significant tax credits that would reduce the surplus have been deactivated by OBBBA. The "blown surplus" is entirely driven by a dramatic reduction in corporate tax revenue, again, due to OBBBA. #copolitics

Legislators really blew a huge surplus in only a couple of years. #copolitics

Who’s been in control in Colorado and made it unaffordable? We are now the 6th most regulated state. Fees are out of control. Now, the far left is telling us that the solution is to raise taxes and fees even more on everyone. Good luck, Chris. #copolitics
Chris deGruy Kennedy@cdegruykennedy

@MichaelCLFields Says the mouthpiece for Colorado's richest man, once again trying to convince us that keeping taxes low for the rich will somehow benefit those working as hard as they can only to find they still cannot afford housing, healthcare, or child care.

Bell Policy wants to raise taxes on everyone - which will just erode the tax base even more and lead to worse services for those who need them. Just look at what’s happening to the states who have recently raised taxes or are considering it. It’s a disaster for them! #copolitics

Here's an idea to make Colorado more affordable. Fix our broken tax system so that working folks get a break & those making more than $500,000/yr pay more. Use new revenue to save people money on preschool & healthcare, and increase pay for teachers & care workers. #copolitics

Unfortunately, overdose deaths are up in Colorado. That’s why we need to pass our ballot measure to increase penalties on fentanyl dealers. #copolitics

“…natural gas is still what keeps the grid reliable, the environment cleaner, and energy bills affordable.” Check out this oped on why natural gas is so important for Colorado. It’s why we need to put the right to purchase natural gas for cooking and heating our homes in the Colorado Constitution! #copolitics denvergazette.com/2026/05/03/per…
