@MikeWhitton It goes through rounds of edits and then it will be legalled and then cover design etc. A proof is made which is sent to people in the hope they’ll say something nice for the cover. Then it’s ready but typically goes into a queue to wait its turn and marketing stuff is organised

@MichaelCragg Congratulations! I really enjoyed Reach for the Stars, and I’m sure this will be great too. Here’s a question - why does it take so long to publish a book once it’s finished? When a celeb dies suddenly a plethora of new titles are out within weeks, but others can take ages!
