It can certainly be done. If, that is, you live in a country of ten million welfare queens willing to let the USA pay for a very disproportionate share of NATO military costs, significantly subsidize Swedish pharmaceuticals, accept something like five hundred billion dollars of a trade deficit over the last half century. I could go on ….. but isn’t Sweden a noble country?

Sorry but simplistic thinking. Socialism versus free market capitalism is not ‘either/or’. It is a spectrum with, say, pure Marxism on the far left and robber baron capitalism on the far right. And it is simply incontrovertible that free markets have been far more effective at raising countries’ living standards than socialism. Which doesn’t mean that some social programs aren’t worthwhile. But a social program such as elementary and mid-level public education as structured in the U.S. has been a major failure.

It’s merely social support systems that enable people to live their dreams. More trained workers, entrepreneurs, teachers, etc. It’s investment in our own people.

@harperlee789 After working in corporate America for over four decades... I'm at least making $6.50, I think! I kid, but companies are so freaking cheap and greedy, most people can't keep up with inflation. I learned to SLOW down and give them in return the effort they pay me for.

Would it be ok if Israel sold its own military technology to Russia?  Would that upset us?  That would be a betrayal. When we sell our top jets to Turkey, which is close to Russia and threatens Israel.  (and others), what’s that? Alliances work both ways. That’s how it’s supposed to work. And Netanyahu should shut up about it. Just go along with it.  I guess we all should.  Not happening.  This completely changes the balance of power in the Middle East. And how will we stop Turkey from sharing our stealth and other top technology with Russia?  Paper assurances? Turkey works with Russia.  It bought their S-400 SAM mobile missiles.  It already has violated its obligations to NATO and our country.  That’s why it has been sanctioned.

AIs will be able to do that anytime, anywhere and explain calculus to them better than any teacher, so why have 'schools' ? Agriculture could go too, easily.
