@emilialo1124@tom_karnes@Duncannedd It is unfortunate that many schools do not have a computer lab. I like the idea of having it be opened on the weekend. It is important to push for these services so the students can learn at their best.
@tom_karnes A3) Many schools in lower income areas closed facilities like computer labs due to funding. If we bring them back and open it to students during certain after school hours or weekends, this could help students become technologically literate. #CSUBTED#CSUBEDTE4200@Duncannedd
Happy Leap Day!
Here's the next question. Make sure you include A3) before your response. Don't forget to tag #CSUBTED , #CSUBEDTE4200, and your EDTE 4200 professor.
@mportillo7673@tom_karnes@doctor2pi That is interesting. I never knew some schools offered loaner computers. This is a very good way to make it accessible. Technology workshops are good as well to help students know how to use them.
@tom_karnes A3) I know during the bulk of COVID-19 schools offered loaner Chromebooks and hotspots to those who did not have those resources. Another way to make tech accessible is to offer workshops on how go use these technologies. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200@doctor2pi
@tom_karnes A3. A limit on the access of technology can be the expense of the computers for personal use. This is why having these recourse at school for the students to use is important. It allows them to have access to what they may not have access too. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200@BarnellNicole
@hheatherh101@doctor2pi@Duncannedd I have heard of this. I have not tried it myself. It may be beneficial for me to touch up on my Spanish as well using this application. Fun and engaging learning is always better for longer duration learning.
@Jimbo_edte4200@doctor2pi@Duncannedd Interesting. I like the idea of the translation on mouse over as it helps give immediate feedback sort of like flash cards. This can be helpful in really learning new words and phrases.
@doctor2pi A2. I would say google translate. It is helpful to be able to say things in a students native language if they do not understand. On a similar vein it is fantastic in communication with the parents as many of these speak much less English. #CSUBTED#CSUBEDTE4200@BarnellNicole
@BarnellNicole A1. Technology in the classroom can be used in a few ways. In particular it is extremely useful in swift communication between teacher and student as well as teacher and parent. Clear communication is the core to any proper learning. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200@BarnellNicole

@AndreaGTeaches@BarnellNicole@doctor2pi I agree, using a sort of survey to learn more about your students can help you better teach them. Google forms does this very well.
@BarnellNicole A1) I can use technology to help build and enhance relationships with my students in the classroom by creating google forms and having students complete them on how they are feeling and if they need to let me know of anything. #CSUBTED, #CSUBEDTE4200@doctor2pi
@Mmoreno570823@BarnellNicole I agree. I have also found technology to be useful for communication. Without proper and clear communication learning can come to a halt.
@BarnellNicole A1) Hello everyone, technology in the classroom has become so helpful to keep in touch with parents and students. Just today I reached out to a parent using Class Dojo to let them know their student will be getting student of the month. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200@BarnellNicole
