STUDENT HIT BY SCHOOL BUS: Here's the statement that @canyonsdistrict shared with @KSL5TV @MattRasconNews after a 15-year-old student died this afternoon.

16 Hillcrest High School students were on the bus at the time of the crash, Sandy PD says. Bus was turning left onto State Street. Right now, just one southbound lane of State is open near 8400 South and no northbound lanes.

OPEN AGAIN: 2000 East under I-80 in #SaltLakeCity reopened tonight for the first time since mid-November. It's just alternating one-way traffic for now until crews make more progress on the overpass. All lanes expected to reopen mid-February.
