This May, we recognize MedicAlert Month and celebrate 65 years of MedicAlert Foundation Canada supporting Canadians when it matters most. More than a bracelet, MedicAlert is a trusted service that ensures critical health information is available in moments of emergency, helping connect individuals, caregivers, and first responders when every second counts. A reminder of the importance of being prepared and making vital health information accessible before a crisis happens.

Congratulations to the Community Legal Clinic of York Region on the opening of its new location in Newmarket. This new space will help strengthen access to legal support and services for individuals and families across York Region, ensuring more members of the community can access the help they need, closer to home.

We’re taking action to prevent illegal truck yards in Vaughan-Woodbridge. 🚚 Ontario will soon introduce amendments to the Planning Act that will give municipalities stronger enforcement tools to crack down on unlawful land uses for trucks, protecting our communities and preserving the farmland that is so important to our region. Great to be with the Concord community at Fight Night 13, an incredible display of discipline, skill, and community spirit. It was a pleasure connecting with Kru Alin, President of Muaythai Canada, and Master Suchart, whose leadership continues to inspire athletes across the sport. Congratulations to all the competitors, coaches, organizers, and volunteers for putting on such a successful event.

It was great to meet with Kavita and recognize the important work of MedicAlert Foundation Canada in supporting individuals across the province. The idea began in 1953, when 14-year-old Linda Collins experienced a severe allergic reaction, inspiring her father, Dr. Marion Collins, to create the first medical ID bracelet to ensure critical health information is available in emergencies. What started as a simple idea has grown into a life-saving service that continues to support Canadians today.
