@MicheJarrett The alarm was activated onboard by a passenger. This can be done to alert the driver of an issue onboard, maliciously by disruptive passengers or even by mistake. I'm afraid I don't have access the information as to why it was activated in this case ^DR

⚠️ NEW: Because of a communication alarm being at #CannonStreet trains are currently unable to depart from platforms 1,2 or 3.. Trains will be subject to delays, alterations and diversions until the alarm is able to be reset and the train moved

@MicheJarrett Apologies for the disruption today. Usually a communication alarm wouldn't cause so much disruption. Unfortunately it was a combination of the location that it occurred, the fact it wasn't able to be reset, and the subsequent turning off of the power that caused such issues ^DR

@Se_Railway Also already limited trains today due to Charing Cross being closed and also replacement buses between Beckenham and Orpington; and one passenger alarm at Cannon Street causes this carnage. Not good enough and this needs to be looked at how to improve and speed up the fix.
