Steve Clarke would find the Celtic job too difficult to turn down, according to Paul Dickov. After the Scotland boss gave an ambiguous answer on his future, speculation arose around whether he could be a contender for the Parkhead hotseat which will once again become vacant in the summer with Martin O'Neill currently in charge temporarily. Clarke's contract with the national team is set to expire after this summer's World Cup and it would seem he is not currently close to signing a new one. He appeared to be trying to either open the door for other offers or ramp up the pressure on SFA chiefs when he talked about the possibility of club offers coming in. And Dickov reckons that if Celtic did come calling, the 62-year-old would be there in a heartbeat. "There is no bigger job than Celtic, so if this one came calling then it surely would be too good to turn down", he told the Daily Record. "With players in the Scotland squad that he knows, there would already be a good relationship and he watches plenty of Scottish football, so another big benefit as he knows the League very well.
