@SpiggyTope they just perpetuate the problem from both sides. We almost had to have our dog put down until we found a 'not for profit' vet halfway across the country and that was even with decent insurance cover.

@Michelle71966 Pet insurance costs have also shot up. My dog's insurance went up a third from last year. They had to pay for an op in February so they will recoup the cost over the years ahead.

Due to vet prices we've decided no more pets for us in the future. A profession that supposedly cares for animals has made it too expensive to keep them. Before anyone talks about training costs etc did vets not get trained in 70s & 80s, because I can recall much lower prices?
