Tyrone GAA is pleased to confirm the appointment of Aidan Kelly (Éire Óg) as Captain of the Senior Hurling team for the 2026 season, with James McCann (Eoghan Ruadh) selected as Vice-Captain. Both players have consistently demonstrated leadership and commitment in the Red Hand jersey, and their experience and influence within the panel make them fitting choices to lead the group in the year ahead. A short look back at Wednesday's Referees Presentation Evening in Garvaghey 🎥 Referees from across the county came together to mark another successful season - one that brought fresh challenges with the introduction of new rules. An evening of food, reflection and appreciation, rounded off with the presentation of final medals and recognition of the commitment shown throughout the year 👏

As the season comes to a close, I’ve published our PR & Marketing Committee report for 2025. It reflects a year that was longer, busier and more demanding than ever, with more games, more platforms and higher expectations - all delivered by a small group of volunteers who care deeply about how Tyrone GAA is represented. From programmes and Tyrone TV to Championship launches, digital growth and supporter-focused projects, we’re proud of what was achieved together. Every game has been covered, thousands of miles have been driven and countless hours committed. The addendum also speaks openly about the realities facing volunteers behind the scenes, where an ever-lengthening season leaves very limited opportunities to step back beyond a short window in August and at Christmas.
