As the season comes to a close, I’ve published our PR & Marketing Committee report for 2025.
It reflects a year that was longer, busier and more demanding than ever, with more games, more platforms and higher expectations - all delivered by a small group of volunteers who care deeply about how Tyrone GAA is represented.
From programmes and Tyrone TV to Championship launches, digital growth and supporter-focused projects, we’re proud of what was achieved together.
Every game has been covered, thousands of miles have been driven and countless hours committed.
The addendum also speaks openly about the realities facing volunteers behind the scenes, where an ever-lengthening season leaves very limited opportunities to step back beyond a short window in August and at Christmas.

Just as a follow up to this -
It appears that the Climate Change Act (NI) 2022, as it stands, makes major infrastructure almost impossible - or at least prohibitively slow, expensive and legally vulnerable.
The A5 is just the first 'big name' casualty and likely won't be the last.
Stormont must urgently amend or repeal this deeply flawed Act before progress in this place grinds to a halt.
English

Another devastating setback for the A5 - quashed yet again.
Years of planning, over 50 lives lost since 2007, and still no progress. This isn’t just about a road; it’s about the utter failure of our Executive to deliver vital infrastructure when it’s most needed. Every delay is another family left grieving, another near-miss on a stretch of road we all know is deadly.
And yet, a small group of objectors - who seem more committed to blocking progress than facing the realities of rural road safety - continue to stall this project, cloaking their opposition in selective legal arguments.
Meanwhile, communities from Aughnacloy to Derry are left stranded in limbo, watching as political will crumbles under pressure and common sense is sacrificed on the altar of process.
This isn’t just frustrating - it’s shameful.

A great bunch of lads getting through to a deserved All Ireland B Final for the hard work over the last few years. 9 & 14 of the panel respectively played in 1st round pummelings in 2023 & 24 but they've kept working, had 2 great championship wins this year & a big day awaits!

Niall Devlin and Michael Rafferty know more than most the devastating impact that the A5 has had on young lives. Both are Tyrone Senior County Footballers and both have lost a brother to this long out of date road. #EnoughIsEnough

Our Under 20 Hurlers secured a fantastic victory in the inaugural Ulster Shield Final yesterday! 🔴⚪
A hard-fought battle in Garvaghey saw Tyrone edge past Donegal in a fiercely competitive contest, with early goals from Shea Munroe and Correy Bell proving crucial.
In a tight second half, Aidan Woods' four points helped keep the Red Hands in control as they secured a well-deserved 2-7 to 0-9 victory.
Massive credit to the squad and management for this achievement! 👏

Joey Clarke, @Donaghmoregaa, and Callum Daly, @omaghstendas, have been selected as our Under 20 Football Captain and Vice-Captain respectively.
Joey has achieved significant success in his career to date, including Ulster Minor League & Championship titles in 2022 and Ulster & All-Ireland Under 20 Championship titles in 2024. He was also a member of the St. Joseph’s Donaghmore team which won the All-Ireland Paddy Drummond Cup & Ulster MacLarnon Cup in 2023, and won County Minor G1 Championship titles with his Club in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Callum also brings significant accomplishment to his role. He was a key player in the CBS Omagh team which won the All-Ireland Hogan Cup & Ulster MacRory Cup in 2023, and was Captain when they made it back-to-back titles in 2024. Callum won Ulster Minor League & Championship titles in 2022 and Ulster & All-Ireland Under 20 Championship titles in 2024, and had success with his Club at Under 19 level in 2022.
Congratulations to Joey and Callum 🙌🏻
