UPDATE: CPD is working with @UTCPD to confirm Shots Fired reports that were called in. At this time, we have not located any victims.

In the midst of rising floodwaters on the interstate, CPD Ofc. Montana jumped into action, helping multiple people (and a dog) out of vehicles, carrying luggage, and guiding everyone to safety. Then she went back to help more people. This is what it means to serve our community.

On Tuesday, August 12, Troy Plemons, a member of our fiber installation team, put that spirit into action. Troy didn’t hesitate to jump into action and help her to safety. We’re incredibly proud of Troy and grateful for all the everyday heroes who make Chattanooga strong.

Today was Fire Chief Phil Hyman’s last day after nearly 30 years with the CFD. We are indebted to him & all that he’s done for this department, for Chattanooga & for the safety of our citizens. Congrats on your retirement & best wishes as you embark on your next chapter, Chief!!

1/8: Here we are, #Braves fans. Not quite at the All-Star break, and we are only 2.5 games out of the NL East cellar. 39-51. We've actually gotten worse since the arrivals of Strider, Acuna, and Profar. We have lost 10 out of our last 12 games.
