As per Quran and hadith life is a test. Allahswt created us and provided us means to live life successfully. He ingrained righteousness in our souls and also sent evident guidance through messengers and righteous people. He will reward those who do good deeds with paradise in the Hereafter and those whose scale of deeds is tilted towards evil deeds will be punished in the Hereafter, although out of His mercy He records evil deeds as one while multiplies good deeds with ten. He is evident when we reflect upon His creation but He is also hidden and unseen, because when He becomes evident there is no fun, free will or righteousness, in short we are no longer independent being as we are, because your integrity is only tested when you can get away with cheating and your generosity is only tested when you have wealth and you can get away withholding it all for yourself. In the light of Qur'an and hadith, a test can be both painful , such as poverty, sickness, enmity of people who hate your speaking truth and fighting for justice, as well as pleasant, such as wealth, fame, power, children etc. "[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving "- (Quran 67:2) "Surely We will test you with a bit of fear and hunger, and loss in wealth and lives and fruits, and give good tidings to the patient." (Quran 2:155) "So, if they turn away, then We did not send you (O Prophet,) as a supervisor over them. You are not responsible but for conveying the message. And when We make man taste mercy from Us, he rejoices with it, and if an evil befalls him because of what their hands sent ahead, then man becomes ungrateful." (Quran 42:48) Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The world is a prison-house for a believer and Paradise for a non-believer. Sahih Muslim 2956

@muftimenk Just because you’re divinely protected doesn’t mean you’re not going to face challenges in life. Everyone says how pure hearted people are protected and while that is true, it doesn’t mean that your life is going to be perfect. In fact, real life angels go through hell a lot more
