@noonebutcarmen Yeh I like the simplicity and ease of slides but it's more limiting than Canva. I value my time though so don't want something that takes ages! Content over aesthetics for me.

Does anyone use Canva for their whole class presentations? It has the potential to be really good, especially with their new Magic Studio, but at the moment I'm just so used to using Google Slides. #EdChat #edutwitter

Following on from yesterday’s ‘when things go awry’ post, it rained solid meaning the Ss were in the same room from 10:45. So what do we do with the rambunctious Ss. Is agressive hugging a thing? What do you think? raisingchildren.net.au/preschoolers/p…

What do you do when well made plans go awry? Do you stick with it, or try to figure out what happened? (FYI this intrigued me, but when I asked, the reader said they would discuss and compare the books later -which they did, sitting in a circle.) #IBLP #reflective

Finished reading Danielle Jawando’s When our worlds collided. It made me laugh, cry, sad and angry. If you want to understand #DEIJ read it. Librarians, secondary teachers put it in the hands of teens because it’s a damn good book. #YAbooks

Amazing examples of #inquiry, yesterday. How do you?do a cartwheel? … start a fire with 2 sticks? arrange the pipes to water the tree? What insects live here? The thing is these are all my ??s so now the Ss need to make these inquiries their own. #IB #agency

@thinkchat2020 Agree! When you move across the disciplines and connect through concepts, there will be more space in what often feels like a jam-packed day/week/month #PYPchat

How do you foster #inquiry in your context? Joined in with my first #pypchat last night. Apparently it was a slow start as it’s the first one, but search the # and share your learning.

@Shaza33 A3 (part 2) Then use this documentation (photos, children’s words) to then launch and relaunch provocations and invitations - then we are always honouring and responding to children’s thinking and inquiries and valuing learning as a process and a journey #pypchat

Taking student questions further, Q3 How can we ensure time and space for students to build, communicate, test, and adapt theories? #pypchat

@Shaza33 as simple as working out how many dots are underneath a splat or the issue of climate change issue of climate change. As teachers, we need to learn to listen to their theories because they doing it all the time. #pypchat

@Shaza33 A3 your question reads as an enquiry cycle. The space to build theories is through the provocations. They communicate their theories through physical thinking routines discussion bubble journals. They feel the theories and they ask questions they collect data could be #pypchat
