Are YOU a parasocial creator? 👀 Here's the difference between caring for a viewer versus being parasocial: 👍 Caring about a viewer (healthy): 🔸️You enjoy interacting with them and appreciate their support 🔸️You’re happy when they show up, but you don’t rely on them emotionally 🔸️You still see them as part of a broader audience, not the person in your life 🔸️There are clear boundaries (you don’t feel entitled to their time, attention, or personal life) 👎 Parasocial (unhealthy): 🔹️You feel unusually attached to that specific viewer 🔹️You think about them a lot outside of streams/content 🔹️Their presence or absence strongly affects your mood 🔹️You start treating the relationship as more personal or intimate than it actually is 🔹️There’s an unspoken expectation of loyalty, attention, or emotional reciprocity A simple way to check yourself: If they disappeared tomorrow, would you just miss them a bit, or would it genuinely affect your emotional stability? One more nuance—parasocial isn’t automatically “bad.” It’s normal for creators and viewers to form some level of attachment. It only becomes a problem when it starts replacing real mutual relationships or crossing boundaries.

@GuildofVoices The obvious one would be men because I'm in the mid to high vocal ranges haha. Buuut, if we're excluding the obvious answer, it would be extremely emotionless or nonchalant characters. I'm a huge empath and feel strong emotions easily, hence the difficulty with those characters

@GuildofVoices I was a theater kid and I've always been ousted on stage plays since elementary. One of my friends knew I acted and used to do shout casting, so they invited me to try out voice acting 🫰got here out of curiosity, but stayed for the passion and the people I met along the way.
