Super excited to see my first first-author paper published 🥹

An exciting day for us. We met many @IRBBarcelona volunteers that were happy to “salivate for science” and contribute to our oral #microbiome research. This is a pilot for the next #CitizenScience project in @gabaldonlab Stay tuned!

Over the last years we have been digging further into the origin of #Eukaryotes. Beyond the expected Asgard and Alphaproteobacterial ancestries, we found other significant gene donors and a potential mediating role of viruses. @moigilbernabeu @MicroBioBits @Marcet45
