We no longer had the time to build marble building that took years to build. IF we even built them at all. Also buildings haven’t been built like that since the 1800’s. Growth, progress, abundance. Quality of buildings has gone down. We no longer build monumental structures or buildings. We aren't making new skyscrapers, railways, or anything.
