We saw the same thing last season in July. Limped into the break. Then opened the “second half” looking even more lifeless. Never got back on track. Yes, the records were a lot different at this time, but it’s the same trend. #Astros

With how this looks right now, it would almost be difficult to even get excited about any hypothetical acquisitions. The Astros offense right now is “work the count” E-Sock with less SLUG and Yordan. That’s it man. Tuve’s mileage has shown this season, can’t lie about it.

Jeremy Peña can’t stay healthy whatsoever. It sounds crazy, but he’s one of these guys that’s almost in “too good of shape” to play professional baseball. Always pulling a muscle or cramping up. This is like the fifth time this year now he’s had to leave a game. #Astros

Bryan Abreu being so bad has hurt this bullpen in countless ways this season. In the past, the 8th inning would be his. Now, you have to use a low velocity middle reliever as your setup man. King had a good first few months but this is what you get with low velocity. #Astros

@MicrophoneMilo My buddy who coached knows miller. Said he’s terrible. Murphy was the guy who got these guys going. Strommy was Murphys mentor. He hangs with strom a lot and goes hunting with him. Miller is the biggest problem

I just can’t stand the guy. It’s nothing personal. I just think he’s a loser of a manager. When they go 2-4 on this homestand, please just fire him and Miller and pray they can rattle off a hot streak, like Boston is doing. Joe has run his course in Houston. #Astros

There is a lot of blame that can be placed on the lineup tonight. But when you’re leading (at home) with 6 outs to get, you need to finish the job. The pitching failed and Joe failed because it’s his job to use the right guy(s) to get those last six outs. #Astros
