Furlingame is a project by some of the previous BABS staff, but other staff members moved on to make the new pony cons you’re hearing about, or work on other pony projects. And some people are just over the age of 40 now and needed a break!

@HerbieKick @ponut11 @BABSCon The financial situation was actually fixed by 2024, and it was in a great place by ‘25. It was a decision made largely due to some leadership differences that would never change in such an old con. Nothing malicious, just a choice to end on a high note and move to other projects.

@ponut11 @BABSCon @MidPrem @715Stu Event went on for 11 years, and there was a $50K financial situation in 2023... Dropping morale including staff and attendees.. They just couldn't hold the doors open much more longer. Furlingame is a different run event, has nothing to deal with BABS.
