Peel District School Board recognizes November 5-11 as Treaties Recognition Week and the importance of treaty rights and obligations to greater understand and uphold relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

As a community, LPPS marked the National Day For Truth And Reconciliation as well as Orange Shirt Day. We recognized the loss of language and culture by indigenous children and their families due to the residential school system. We commit to learning their stories.

As we celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth this October, let's pay tribute to the outstanding achievements of the powerful women who paved the way before us, who fought for our rights, and who made a lasting impact as pioneers in their fields.

The Peel District School Board recognizes October as Islamic Heritage Month and the significant contributions and achievements of Muslim Canadians and communities throughout the world.
