#HelpfulTips Did you know that it is recommended to vacuum around the edge of your smoke and CO alarms to prevent false alarms from occurring? Next time you vacuum, lightly use the wand attachment to remove any dust or cobwebs from around your alarms.

Smoke alarms only last for 10 years. Check your date today and ensure yours aren't expired.

Doing a quick vacuum of the house? Take the time to vacuum around your smoke and CO alarms, this will help decrease the chance of false alarms caused by bugs or dust!

If you are planning on becoming intoxicated also plan to order in food. Cooking while intoxicated or while taking certain medication significantly increases your risk of causing a fire in your home.

Accidents happen fast! Always keep your kitchen a #KidFreeZone, especially while cooking.

Pictured here is a CO alarm that was significantly expired and also located in the furnace room. We would like to remind everyone to ensure their CO alarms are less than 10 years old and located outside of the sleeping areas in your home.

Hearing a random chirp every 60 seconds in your home? That is your smoke or CO alarm telling you it has a low battery. Check all of your alarms and ensure they have fresh batteries in them. Be the hero in your home by protecting your family with working smoke and CO alarms.
