The root cause of this entire issue has nothing to do with theft, misconduct, or even principles. Its origin is from a group of deeply disgruntled, now deranged, people who are manufacturing any argument to defame and destroy IOG and me. They concluded I'm a bad actor, and no evidence or argument will stop their campaign or beliefs. We see this behavior in politics, whether it be with hatred of Hillary Clinton or Trump's Derangement syndrome. Every event involving controversial public figures is viewed through a political lens and transformed into either a negative or positive spin, regardless of how large or small. Cardano doesn't have an immune system for this derangement syndrome yet, and must start developing one. The people infected aren't going to change, and they will continue to inflame whenever given an opportunity. They will stick around like a tumor that tries to spread and will ultimately kill the ecosystem if left unchecked. There isn't any room for friendship, progress, or acknowledgment of accomplishments. If Midnight is wildly successful and makes billions of dollars for all the Ada holders, according to the deranged, it's a Charles Hoskinson exit scam. If Leios is delivered, it's too late or solely the result of another person's efforts. It will worsen yearly and eventually become complete fantasies and bizarre conspiracies. Then violence with the truly deranged lashing out and attempting to harm IOG employees or me. It saddens and disgusts me. It's a macro problem beyond crypto. Something is causing this mental illness on a mass scale, and it destroys a lot of lives, especially the people afflicted. Thus, we ought to have some compassion for them. They have now removed themselves from a world where we are friends, get along, work together, and share joy in the accomplishments of others. They live in a self-inflicted hell where nothing but negativity is present, spiraling faster each month- isolation and despair combined with a rot of the soul. I'll stay positive and keep pushing forward. Let's consider how to cure this cancer together.

The one advantage in a crisis or an event that tests people is that you rapidly get to see who your friends truly are and who's fairweather. I'd like to thank all the support and kind words both privately and publicly. The downside is that I believe there will be a cold distance with the others who didn't show up for some time. It's not possible for anyone to not take this personally. For a decade, I've been on the front lines. To not be given the benefit of the doubt here without strong evidence to the contrary means I don't have the connection I thought with some people. It dims the light quite a bit and makes me want to dramatically alter how I engage. After the audit report comes out, I'm going to likely turn my X account over to a media team and change the format of my AMAs and X spaces. I miss the simpler times with a giraffe on the dresser and infinite accessibility. But that's the lesson from this event. People have gone out of their way to defame and slander. Infinite accessibility just enables it to happen again and again. I'll still be at events and take the time for pictures and handshakes especially with friends. But it's different now. This one has deeply hurt me and it's not going to heal anytime soon.
