Idk if anyone cares anymore but I’m gonna be taking an even bigger step back from esports. I want nothing more than to succeed but I just can’t do it right now. Don’t see myself ever getting over this funk but if I can I’ll be back. Good luck to those of you still grinding ✌️

@AceDoloX1 High level players always massively overestimate their ability to play roles which are not their main role and since they all want to play “better than ranked” all the time, you get random stuff happening and people playing off roles. Speaking from personal experience LOL

@AceDoloX1 These things just don’t and will never work when a game has distinct roles (lack of meaningful stats and player understanding of them also doesn’t help) There aren’t enough good players playing at any given time to consistently fill every role in a reasonable time

Something like realm pops up in all the lifespans of comp shooters. Really good players get tired of ranked cause it never plays like comp. They try to make a separate thing and have to naturally realize ranked isn’t like comp not just because of rules but because of players

There are so many criticisms around realm, good and bad, from pros and aspiring comp players, that I don't even know what the purpose of realm is anymore. That's not even mentioning the controversy around realm when it first launched.

@hausgameS_ Took me maybe a month. Also for me gripping how my fingers naturally landed on the mouse did not work at all for ftip, I had no stability no matter how long I tried. I had to keep experimenting with how curled and flexed my fingers were until I found something that worked.

While I don’t always have the most positive things to say about OW and I literally have not touched or watched the game in years, I’m sad that it’s going to be gone. The game completely changed my life and gave me some memories and experiences I will never forget.

The upside that I hope for is that future generations will get to have a REAL career with real salaries and real growth and stability. Instead of a few years of the most intense roller coaster you’ve ever been on which leaves most who try it worse off than they were before

As with almost anything, being an early adopter (ie. being a pro in the past few years or the upcoming decade or two) is pretty terrible and there will be a ton of awful stuff going on across the board

Double Edged sword. As someone who has been personally screwed by franchising I want to say it’s horrible. I think if you look at the esports that have lasted the longest, the best parts are the story lines. Whether that be overall long term story or from event to event
