Our midwives provide care for healthy women throughout pregnancy, labour, and birth, as well as the first 6 weeks postpartum both the mother and baby.
ICM and its members were horrified to learn gunmen stormed a maternity ward in Afghanistan today and murdered 2 babies and 11 mothers, midwives and nurses. We are working with our members in Kabul to determine how we can support during the aftermath of this heartbreaking ordeal.
