Colorism has really eaten into us as a people. Imagine dark skinned people in the comments telling me that I'm jealous because I'm not light skinned? Me and you are dark skinned, I'm confident in my skin tone but you are looking down on yours? Why are you insinuating that it's something to be jealous off? Because you believe that a lighter complexion is superior right? This mentality is so poor coming from predominantly dark skinned people. It's also so harmful to the majority of dark skinned Igbo people. You make light complexion the standard for beauty and wonder why so many people go the extra miles to bleach their beautiful skin. It's so sad.
