Genuine question, what is the reason why non-Catholic can't take the Eucharist? Like how is it functionally different if say a Christian from a different denomination takes it and a Catholic takes it?

What kind of Catholic church is it? That will help with what tips to follow, but overall The only tip is to show up. Dont get caught up if you dont know what to do. Follow along with the crowd. The only thing you cannot do as a non catholic is take communion. But you can totally receive blessings (in a novus ordo church). Simple cross your arms over your chest. hands touching the opposite shoulder. This is fone when you are walki g up to receive the eucharist in a novus ordo church. Outside of that. Enjoy the experience.
