تذكرت اللي أخذوا «روسية مقيمة» تمثلنا كشعب و أمة شرقية بفنها في «فيفا 2026» و تاركين عيالنا المبدعين بفنهم 🎨✨ أمانة الأحساء ممثلةً بيهئة تطوير العقير تستعين بالفنانين السعوديين لتزيين شاطئ العقير 🖤

وكأنني أغرق في الفراغ وأسقط إلى عمق المجهول كأنما أخنق أحلامًا قديمة وأقاتل لأجل ملاذٍ معزول وأودّع شبحًا التبسني لأستوشح شخصيةً جديدة! ذاك وصف بسيطٌ لما أعيشه في الأونة الأخيرة.

لأنك كل الأشياء الجميلة صرت أرى الجمال مذنبا إن لم يُشبهكَ

The Saudi voices you say you can’t find aren’t hidden. In fact, they’re being flat out ignored by platforms that then declare them missing or simply underdeveloped. And when those same platforms commission “Saudi” work, you get recycled motifs mixed in with some ridiculous mistakes. Then they say it represents the people. The image is just lazy. In one frame the artist lumps a bunch of geographical locations and throws in a little decorative motif here and there and calls it a day. I won’t even mention the biggest flaw in this drawing, because it was made twice and it’s just… sad. The commissioning body had a choice. Hire a Saudi. The artist also had a choice: reject the job or work with a local at least to get some real representation. Neither did that. How disappointing.
