Rather than accepting any praise at face value, we find that 4- and 5-year-olds trust praise from an adult who only praises good work over one who praises everything. Also, they seek out praise depending on a learner's goal (knowing how one did vs. hearing something nice).

My study with @hyogweon & @MeganMerrick6 is out! While infants usually look longer at unexpected than expected events, we show that this pattern can be reversed by emotion cues: Infants actually "expect the unexpected" following other people's surprise! doi.org/10.1162/opmi_a…

We conducted some analysis to see if the youth vote trends in other states held up in MA for @NoPreferenceMA. They do. It’s clear that younger voters will not commit to voting for @JoeBiden when he continues to fund a genocide. Shoutout to @Mika_Asaba for crunching the numbers
