Market season is back! The Brockville Farmer’s Market is open for another season of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and great people. Come check it out Saturday’s from 8am-1pm.

It was a pleasure to welcome @GirlsIncUC to Parliament Hill this week as part of their Girls Leading Change Teen Advocacy Program.   These young leaders brought thoughtful questions and a real passion for advocacy and making a difference in our community.   Thank you to my colleagues Shelby Kramp-Neuman and the Hon. Rechie Valdez for helping lead such an engaging discussion on leadership and advocacy.

This morning, I had the pleasure of attending the United Way Leeds & Grenville Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast.

Volunteers are the beating heart of our community, and it was inspiring to be in a room filled with individuals who give their time and energy to support others. Thank you to United Way Leeds & Grenville for hosting such a meaningful event, and to every volunteer whose contributions make a real difference across our community.

It was a pleasure to visit Merrickville Community Health Services. I was glad to meet with the local team, along with leaders from the Canadian Association of Community Health Centres and ConnectWell Community Health to discuss strengthening care in our community. Thank you to the nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners and staff whose dedication makes a real difference every day.

Thank you to everyone who came out in Rideau Lakes last night to speak about ALTO. The impact on homes, farms, and properties would be devastating. The environmental risks are too great. The massive cost and the lack of any real benefit to this community make one thing clear: this project should not go ahead.

Flipping pancakes and celebrating a sweet local tradition at the Delta Maple Syrup Festival 🍁🥞 Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who came out, events like this show what makes our community so special.

It was great to join our local business community at the Rideau Lakes Business Awards Breakfast. Congratulations to this year’s nominees and winners, and thank you to the organizers for shining a light on the businesses that keep Rideau Lakes strong.

An incredible show of community spirit in Gananoque. Thanks to the generosity of local residents and the hard work of community partners, Baldree’s No Frills raised $6,000 for the Gananoque Food Bank during this year’s spring food drive. Thank you to Scott Baldree and his incredible team, and to the dedicated volunteers at the Gananoque Food Bank for all they do to support neighbours in need. Proud of a community that always steps up for one another.

Wonderful to be at the Cardinal Legion Induction Ceremony and to see their membership growing. The well trained Air Cadets from 661 Sqn who participated in the ceremony demonstrated their leadership and commitment to our community. It was great to connect with members of the community, Legion members, and veterans.

It was the Finance Minister himself who acknowledged a potential conflict. So why are Liberals preventing him from testifying at the Ethics Committee? Canadians deserve answers.

The Liberal Transport Minister says I should be ashamed. I’m not. I’m proud to stand with people in Chaffey’s Lock, Rideau Lakes, and across Eastern Ontario against a $90 billion Alto project that threatens homes, farms, small businesses, and our way of life.

It was the Liberal Finance Minister himself who said he could be in a conflict of interest. Now Liberals are filibustering to block his testimony at the Ethics Committee. Canadians deserve transparency.
