@caddietales Love it, Mark, happy to keep the connection going!

My daughter recently started her career at one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
Earlier this season I caddied for a guy who is rather high up at her company (pictured below). I mentioned she was starting there in the fall.
The other day this man took the time to figure out who she was and send her a welcome email, also explaining the connection we made on the course. She was so encouraged by someone in his position doing that.
Seriously, could I be more blessed? The people I get to meet on here and on the course...Just wonderful!
And now the love spreads to my family!
Gonna do my best to pay it forward 🙏

Some of you may recognize the little country church pictured below. Located just down the road from the entrance to Whistling Straits, it was the site of my wedding 26 years ago today.
There was so much excitement and big dreams on that day. Just like I see from so many golfers at the bag drop.
But as often happens on the course, things haven't quite gone according to plan in our lives.
The past 26 years have been filled with more shanks, misses, and bad lies than that of the highest handicapper. I've certainly tested the patience of my playing partner more times than can be counted.
But my wife has also taken on the role of caddie from time to time - patiently standing by my side and reminding me that no matter how bad things seemed, there was a next shot full of hope and opportunity. And that she'd be there to see those shots play out!
Those encouragements started to turn into reality when we moved to Wisconsin 7 years ago, back to the area where she had grown up and we were married years before.
I had heard about the new golf course that had opened a mile away one year before our wedding in that little church, but little did I know that it would one day become a source of hope, healing and growth.
Your next shots out there have served as a constant reminder of the next shots I've been given in life!
Our rounds still aren't perfect. There are still plenty of obstacles, bunkers, and shots that don't quite land on target.
But just like for my golfers, there is always the shot that keeps us coming back. And over time, there are more of those shots being strung together!
The last 26 years haven't been easy. And it would be natural to lament and focus on the misses. But when we look closer, we can see that it's also been good, just like a round of golf. We've been blessed with the best foursome of kids anyone could hope for. We've persevered. We've become resilient. We've progressed. Life is good!
On this anniversary there will be no expensive gifts or amazing trips. Not the life we've been afforded.
But the one we have is better!

Great afternoon with my new friends Mike and Brendan. Mike won a round for two at Whistling Straits through one of my book promos. Was a privilege to tag along as he and his son kicked off Father's Day weekend with a bucket list walk!
Want the same experience?
I'm giving away THREE rounds for two if 100 signed copies of Caddie Tales are purchased from my website by Sunday night 🔥 If we don't hit that goal by Sunday I'll still be giving away a round to a lucky winner whenever the 100 goal is met.
Note: Rounds are now being given away for the 2026 season only.
