ALBERTANS wake up!!! Students that are planning any kind of political action in support of teachers are being brainwashed & it’s unacceptable. They’ve been coached/coerced by the teachers. This must stop even if it means breaking the union. What the hell are the teachers doing ?

I’m a parent and I definitely disagree based upon the current conditions in Alberta classrooms. Something has to be done. This government has refused to negotiate and has neglected education for years.

@ABDanielleSmith I can’t begin to express my sheer disguise in you and your gov’t. It is criminal. The policies you have implemented as well as your lack of willingness to even negotiate with teachers. You held them & students hostage for 3 weeks. I used to be a proud Albertan. Sadly no longer.

Today we announce Bill 2: the Back to School Act.   If passed, this bill will put student learning first, ensure our children return to the classroom on Wednesday, October 29th and legislate a fair reasonable collective bargaining agreement for Alberta teachers. On top of $8.6 billion to build and modernize 130 new schools, this deal will ensure: ✅ $70k to $119k salaries ✅ 3,000 extra teachers ✅ 1,500 more education assistants   We know there is more work that needs to be done. I wonder how many parents in Alberta are aware that private education is SUBSIDIZED at a rate of about 70% while the public system falls behind ?

@NateHornerAB Your gov promoted immigration to AB from cross Canada and beyond. With increased pop comes the need for additional services including additional teachers. For you to put hiring additional teachers on the backs of current teachers in their contract negotiations is utterly absurd.
